As the United States and especially Texas significantly reduced the number of refugees that are allowed to settle, I would like to get their stories out with the fight for their lives along their journey to their new country, their beautiful soul, their generosity even when they have nothing left, and their humanity. Yazidi girl and her mother from Iraq who were persecuted by ISIS, actor couple from Iraq running to safety to the US, an Afghan refugee who came here with nothing in the 1980s and now has established schools and drilled water wells for communities in his old country, Rohingya boy and girl who came here as teens to have their lives spared, woman from Eritrea and from the Congo fleeing war, they are all human beings who came here, to this country where they don't have to fear for their lives.
